WHAT WOULD DUBB'S DO?

Your equipment can be vital to the growth and success of your page and I'm here to help! First and foremost, your iPhone is all that you need to build an amazing blog that has a strong following AND receives brand deals. so please don't think you need to go out and spend thousands of dollars on a camera set up. I amassed 10 thousand followers before spending any money on a camera, lights, or anything set up related, so trust me its possible to succeed with JUST an iPhone!

When I was ready, I made the step up and invested in a mirrorless camera. I chose a mirrorless over a dslr, one because they seemed easier to use, but had just as nice if not better quality and a lighter size, and mirrorless is the technology more set for the future! I first went with a Sony A5100 which is known for the flip out camera and its benefits for vlogging, but the only issue with that was I wasn't a vlogger, I took pictures not videos. I needed something that could take great photos but also deliver quality video because I knew one day my page would move to video being the focus.

I ended up going with the Canon M50 which is an amazing mirrorless camera and I paired it with a Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens. Now I won't lie if you are NOT in the world of cameras this price point will come off as pricey. (Currently priced around $600 for the camera and $400 for the lens so $1,000 in total.) BUT if you educate yourself on the camera industry you'll see that this is actually a very affordable and cheaper set up price and great for people who are wanting to take blogging, vlogging, YouTube, photography, or whatever seriously.

As for my lights I use Neewer box lights, and have created a grass looking background with fake grass and a staple gun! The background gets so many compliments and literally only took me about 10 minutes, just line the fake grass sheets on and use a staple gun to hold onto the wall.
